The Resilience Project Lessons

This week School Counselors are delivering The Resilience Project (the sixth of six lessons) which teaches young adults about how to overcome setbacks and challenges in life. Module 6 focused on thought distortions and using the skill of seeing the world God created and his plan for salvation. 

The Resilience Project which is part of the WLHS School Wellness Plan is offered in partnership with Christian Family Solutions who has developed the six part series to assist WELS High Schools. If you would like to learn more, click here or reach out to your child's school counselor.
About The Resilience Project

Mission:
Empower high schools to embrace mental wellness education as part of a curriculum for
all students.

Vision: 
Based on Philippians 4:4-9: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, foreseen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” This program will seek to teach the game-changing grace of God based on the solid footing of practical resilience skills.

Purpose:
To equip students to be resilient, using a system of tools and strategies that are simple to
understand and implement.
