WLHS College, Career, & Life Readiness Blueprint

Academic and Career Planning, as defined by the state of Wisconsin, is described as "a student-driven, adult-supported process in which students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based visions for post-secondary success. This is achieved through self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills." This definition represents a significant shift: graduation is no longer seen as an end point but rather as a checkpoint. The vision for a WLHS graduate offers a clear framework for how students are supported throughout their high school journey. It includes specific benchmarks and metrics to track progress toward various post-secondary options. We encourage families to click here to review the WLHS College, Career, and Life-Readiness Blueprint. This document provides valuable insights into how students are guided through their time here at WLHS.
All programs, services, tools, and resources can be found on the Student Services Resource Board (login here). An overview of the ACP will be presented at parent information nights throughout the year. If you have any questions, reach out to your child's school counselor.
