The Lady Vikings provided a good amount of excitement on Tuesday night, erasing a five-point deficit in the final minute of regulation, but in the end, #6 New Berlin Eisenhower prevailed in overtime, 70-64.
Kenly Frey's layup with 11 seconds left tied the game at 59 and the Wisco defense held on the Lions' final possession to force overtime. Back-to-back turnovers in the extra session hurt the Vikings' chances, as Eisenhower pulled ahead and made free throws down the stretch to seal the game.
Jayla Rankin led the team with 22 points. Jazz Smith added 10 and Noel Greene scored 8. The Vikings host New Berlin West on Friday, January 28.
