Boys Track Sending Several to State
The boys track & field team had a successful night on Thursday, qualifying 11 individuals and 4 alternates for the State Championship in La Crosse next Saturday while placing 5th as a team at the WIAA Sectional Championship.
Isaiah Hopf won the triple jump and placed 2nd in the long jump to advance in both events. He will also run the 4x200 relay, along with Jacob Spudat, Robert Rehm, Phrellis Lee, Sean Minor, and Jamond Allen. Allen advanced individually as well by placing 2nd in the triple jump. Senior Nathan Miller advanced in the 300m hurdles, and the distances will be represented by the 4x800 relay team of Silas Ebeling, Michael Miller, Luke Wegner, Vicente Janik, Adam Kriefall, and Tristan Sanchez. Travis Beckler qualified for state in four wheelchair events (100, 400, 800, shot put) and set new school records in the 400, 800, and shot put.
