The boys track and field team captured the afternoon session of the Carleton Sitz Invitational on Saturday at WLHS. The team worked through a hot and humid day to best runner-up Lakeside Lutheran by 3 points.
The boys' depth was on display, as they won the meet despite winning just 3 events. Isaiah Hopf won the triple jump with a leap of 47-10, the best mark in the state this season and among the top 50 nationally for 2021. Silas Ebeling won the 1600, and the 4x100 relay team of Noah Kontny, Hopf, Jacob Spudat, and Robert Rehm was victorious in a time of 43.01 that ranks 5th in school history.
