Seniors Looking Ahead: Your Next Steps in the Journey

Seniors, your Academic and Career Planning journey—Know, Explore, Plan, and Go—has prepared you for this exciting new chapter in your life. As you take these next steps, Student Services wants to remind you of important details to ensure a smooth transition into college, career, or the workforce.
Important Tasks by May 21
1. Please follow the directions here to add your personal email address to your Xello account by May 21. This will ensure continued access after graduation.
2. Please also click here to report where you’ll be attending college and learn how to send your final transcripts to that institution. Please complete this in Xello by May 21
3. Please fill out the senior survey in your onCampus account by May 21. This survey will be available at the top of your onCampus account by early May.

National College Decision Day
Make your college decision by May 1. If you’re choosing between schools, be sure to communicate clearly with admissions offices. Accepting multiple offers is considered unethical. If your plans change after submitting a deposit, notify the college—even though deposits are often non-refundable.

Trade and Technical Schools
For students pursuing trade or technical programs, be aware of early enrollment deadlines. Many programs require a deposit, and tuition may be due shortly after registration—especially if your program begins in the summer. Reach out to your school’s financial aid office with any questions about registration or fees.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The FAFSA is open for students attending college next academic year. It can unlock access to grants and loans. If you haven’t submitted it yet, there’s still time!
Click here to complete your FAFSA. Need help? The Fair Opportunity Project offers free 1:1 FAFSA help sessions. Click here to schedule a virtual appointment.

Exploring Careers in the Trades
Trades and manufacturing industries are actively hiring—and many offer on-the-job training, tuition reimbursement, and advancement opportunities. If you're interested in this pathway, reach out to Student Services for job search support. Contact your counselor or click here to explore these high-demand fields.

Stay Connected
Your journey has been marked by learning, growth, and thoughtful planning—and now it's time to step into the future with confidence. Whether you're headed to college, into a career, or exploring other paths, remember: you're always part of the Wisco family! Stay in touch with those who’ve supported you, and most importantly, remain close to your Lord and Savior—He will continue to guide your steps. Best wishes as you begin this new chapter. Go forward with faith, courage, and confidence! You can find all resources from this year (and past years) on the Student Services resource board in onCampus.

If you have questions about your next steps, don’t hesitate to reach out to your school counselor—we’re here for you!
