Students in Fashion Tech 1 class are making pajama pants (we love pajama pants days at Wisco!), while Fashion Tech 2 students are making a straight skirt with a zipper (girls) and zippered vests (boys). Both fashion technology classes are stitching away to finish these final projects after Thanksgiving break.
Fashion Tech 1 students learned sewing terminology, how to use rotary cutting tools, the ability to explain the parts of their sewing machine, and thread their machines and bobbins. They will be learning how to take body measurements, read a commercial pattern, and make pajama pants during this final stretch of the semester.
Fashion Tech 2 students learned about various careers in the fashion field with a guest speaker from Mt. Mary University. They also know how to make a lined and zip pocket tote bag, and how to make a quilted table runner. They will be learning how to make darts, install a centered seam zipper, and install a waistband on skirts and vests.
