In October, ProStart Students were challenged to identify their favorite soup, write up a standard recipe that could be used in a professional kitchen, and then set up a mise en place. Mise en place is a French culinary term which refers to the the organization and preparation that takes place before cooking, such as measuring, cutting, and arranging ingredients. The competition included ProStart students throughout Wisconsin. Congratulations to Serenity Conway ('26) who took first place with her mediterranean chickpea soup creation.
