National Online Teen Bible Study Holds First Meeting
About 12 months ago, Oliva Hermanson ('24), at that time a student at WLHS, was wishing for a way that teens from across the country could meet around God's Word. While some young people have a variety of options for Bible study, Oliva realized that a lot of teens are isolated in their studies. After discussions with Campus Pastor Phil Huebner ('99) and with the guidance of WELS ministries, the first National Online Teen Bible Study took place on September 9 with about 125 teens in live study!
Bible study was led by Pastor Huebner on the subject of the Parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15. Smaller breakout groups in groups of seven had discussions and brought back comments for the large group. There was even a special greeting from WELS President Mark Schroeder.
The goal of the National Online Teen Bible study is to hold four Bible studies a year. Stay tuned for information about the next one on Sunday, November 10, at 6:00 p.m. (CST)
