In honor of their 40-year class reunion, the Class of 1983 commissioned Mr. Michael Wiechmann (former art teacher at Wisco) to create a piece of artwork for the high school, currently on display in the main lobby. The result of this commission was a three-painting series which was inspired by the 1983 class hymn of "Let us Ever Walk with Jesus" and connects Christ to the long history of WLHS.
One of the pictures, taken from the boys state basketball game, reflects the first thing that Coach Walz said in the locker room to his team after completing a perfect season and winning the State Championship. He said, "Don't let this be your greatest victory in life," and then explained how heaven's victory will be more important than anything else in this life.
