Student Musicians Compete at WSMA State
The 2024 WSMA State Solo & Ensemble Festival took place at UW-Milwaukee, and WLHS brought home 101 medals. Twenty-eight events earned first ratings and four events earned second ratings. Following the festival, eight Wisco students received nominations for exemplary performances: Simon Doerr ('27) (violin solo), Tommy Doerr ('25) (trombone solo), Annabelle Nault ('24) (marimba solo), Fred Ramsey ('25) (vocal solo), Daniel Reinke ('24) (piano solo), Hannah Strong ('26) (vocal solo), Eliane Wang ('27) (piano solo), and Jenesis Wesley ('25) (vocal solo).
After final judging Simon Doerr, Fred Ramsey, Daniel Reinke, and Hannah Strong received Exemplary Performance Awards. Congratulations!
