Senior Receives Full Ride Scholarship to Mount Mary University
Congratulations to senior Hilary Ramirez who received the prestigious Caroline Scholars Scholarship from Mount Mary University. This four-year scholarship aimed at students with a passion for social justice, covers full tuition, food, and housing totalling approximately $40,000 a year. Said Hilary of this opportunity, "You don't see a lot of these types of scholarships available. You don't have to be super athletic or super smart you just have to be passionate."
Mrs. Patti Wenzel ('83), Fashion Technology Instructor said, "I am so proud of Hilary, on this great opportunity for her to continue her interest in the fashion industry. I have taught her for all three levels of Fashion Technology and in Homes and Interior Design, where she was an outstanding student and an example for the other students. She also spearheaded the creation of the WLHS Fashion Club, which provides additional exposure to fashion related topics. I wish her nothing but success over the next four years and in her career."
