Everyone is invited to the Friends of Wisco Annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 16, at Ironwood Golf Course, in Sussex, Wis. Cost is $175 per person with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. Includes: green fees, golf cart, lunch and dinner, and two drink tickets. WLHS alumna Kate (Koepke) Wood ('08) traveled to Kenya with a team of volunteers and the Central Africa Medical Mission to support a short-term medical camp. Partnering with Karima Lutheran Church, they not only provided medical care to nearly 2,000 patients but also shared the gospel message with the local community. WLHS alumna Lisa (Johnson) Joplin ('81) was recognized in the MIlwaukee Journal Sentinel for being a leader—on the basketball court, in law enforcement, and now in her own business. A former standout player at Wisconsin Lutheran High School and Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Lisa went on to serve as a Milwaukee police officer for 25 years before retiring to pursue her passion for hairstyling. Today, she runs a shop that has become more than just a salon; it’s a refuge for Marquette basketball players, including her son, David, where they can relax, recharge, and get the perfect look before game day.
