Scaling New Heights at State
Under the leadership of Ms. Rachel Rosenberg, Mr. Tim Meister, and Mr. and Mrs. Mical & Bekah Schaffer, the Wisco rock climbing team capped off a successful season. This year, 26 climbers trained and competed at various levels, with new members making rapid progress throughout the year.
Nine climbers qualified for the State Competition at Downtown Adventure Rock, competing in top rope and bouldering against 234 high school athletes. Two standout performers—Caden Schaffer ('27) and Mina Schaffer ('27)—advanced to the final five in their respective divisions.
In Division 4, the most advanced level, Caden took 1st place in the men’s division, and Mina placed 3rd in the women’s division. As a team, Wisco earned 4th place overall—a strong finish in a competitive field.
We look forward to seeing this talented team continue to climb higher next season!
