GO Campaign Purchases Adjacent Pick 'N Save Property
Wisconsin Lutheran High School is thrilled to announce the purchase of the Pick 'n Save property—three strategically located acres adjacent to our land-locked campus. While the grocery store will remain open—and paying rent—in the near term, this once-in-a-generation opportunity allows the school to control the site and offer an opportunity for future expansion.
With this acquisition, WLHS plans to reimagine its entire Master Site Plan to maximize the potential of the entire campus. Key priorities include enhancing safety and security; increasing academic and collaborative learning spaces; improving student life (e.g. updating and expanding cafeteria and kitchen); and expanding athletic facilities. The new property allows for forward-thinking development—such as more court space, additional educational space, and improved parking—without the high costs and limitations of building within the current footprint.
This pivotal acquisition was made possible by the successful Growing Opportunities (GO) capital campaign, which has already raised over $7.9 million towards its $10 million goal. The GO campaign continues to welcome support, allocating 85% of every donation to this crucial capital purchase and 15% to bridging the annual $4,171 per-student funding gap.
