Xello is a key component of the WLHS Academic and Career Plan (ACP) which helps students become college, career, and life ready. Over the time here on campus students can utilize Xello at any time to build self knowledge, explore options, create a plan, and reassess. Through Xello, students will be empowered to create healthy habits for growth and explore potential vocations to be productive Christian citizens in a diverse world. Below are ways students can engage on their own and lessons delivered throughout the year.
Self-knowledge Students create their very own space that reflects their unique skills, interests and achievements, helping them build self-awareness and start connecting the dots between who they are and possible career options.
Career Profiles & Discovery Students are presented with rich, age-appropriate information about careers to ignite their interest in the world of work. With every career profile, students are encouraged to keep exploring careers, even those they might not know about, through discoverable content.
Goal-Setting Students have the opportunity to set short-term and long-term goals. They’re introduced to effective goal setting frameworks and begin building longer range thinking skills.
Lessons Lessons help guide students through their experience in Xello, teaching them age appropriate skills to make transition to middle school easier.
Educator Reports Centralized educator tools and reports standardize reporting across 9-12. Educators can track student engagement and progress while gaining valuable insights about student interests, skills, and career preferences.
