Junior: Post High School Planning Meetings

Juniors will meet with Student Services staff to discuss their Academic and Career Plans (ACP) on September 10-11 during study halls. The meetings will provide students information regarding the college search process. Parents should review the senior section of the Student Services resource board (through onCampus) for the presentation given to students.
Parents can also track progress by logging into their child's Xello accounts. The counsel given to juniors is a key meeting that takes place to support college, career, and life readiness.

Juniors are encouraged to attend Post High School Planning Night and review the list of items to complete before graduation to help support their ACP:
  • Attend the national college fair in Milwaukee and on-site Post High School Planning night at WLHS.
  • Attend Viking-2-Viking Seminars.
  • Evaluate and search postsecondary opportunities.
  • Review assessment results and how they support post secondary choices.
  • Complete at least one job shadow in an identified career interest area.
  • Update 4 year course planner.
  • Complete Xello goals and plans
  • Update Xello resume builder
  • Optional: Create Xello portfolio
All programs, services, tools, and resources can be found in onCampus (login here) > select Resources on the top menu > Student Services Resource Board
