Milwaukee High School Sports Awards Show Recipients

More than 300 athletes from 30 sports were honored at the Milwaukee High School Sports Awards show on June 14 at Riverside Theater. This organization recognizes the area’s top-performing athletes, coaches and teams. Five WLHS student-athletes were nominated for Athlete of the Year awards in 6 sports. Kon II Knueppel ('24) won not only the Boys Basketball Player of the Year Award, but also the overall Boys Athlete of the Year Award. Head basketball coach Ryan Walz ('92) was named the Boys Team Coach of the Year. We praise God for the gifts and abilities of our coaches and athletes and the way they glorify God with their faithful application.
