Congratulations to English teacher Mrs. Stacy Bitter who received her doctorate from Alverno College with a degree in K-12 Leadership. Dr. Bitter defended her dissertation called "Young Adolescents' Perceptions of Reading Interventions" in December 2023. Motivated to better serve her students, Dr. Bitter completed her study in two and half years, no summers off, alongside her full time job at WLHS.
"Throughout the journey of getting a doctorate, while you learn many new things in your area of expertise, you also see how much more there is to learn. It takes a team of people to provide all that students need. Wisconsin Lutheran High School is blessed to have many dedicated teachers and staff who work every day to provide a quality education to every student. To God be the glory for all the faithful servants he has provided to our school," said Dr. Bitter.
At WLHS, 65% of faculty hold or are working towards an advanced degree. Dr. Stacy Bitter is a member at St. John's Lutheran Church, Milwaukee.
