2024 Festival Dance
The dance will take place in the Wisconsin Lutheran High School gymnasium on Saturday, January 27, from 7:00-10:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale the week of Festival and can be purchased in the school store with cash or card for $12 per person.
All students will need to have a means of transportation from school promptly at the end of the dance at 10:30 p.m. Curfew is 11:00 p.m. in Milwaukee County, so it is important that our students are not allowed on the street or a bus after 11:00 p.m.
WLHS seeks to conduct dances that will provide for the social development of our students in accordance with the Word of God. To help young Christians develop norms of behavior that are consistent with spiritual principles, the following guidelines have been developed:
- Attire: Semi-formal (NO JEANS!); young men wear ties or sweaters and young women wear dresses or dress pants. Dress should be modest and God pleasing.
- Dances must be chaperoned by faculty and administration with parental help.
- Students are expected to conduct themselves and dress in such a way that they reflect the will and love of their Lord.
- Only seniors may bring guests; all guests must be registered and limited to one guest of the opposite sex per person. Seniors may not bring in a guest for another student.
- WLHS seniors are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
- Students will not be admitted to the dance any later than 8:00 p.m.
- Once a student leaves the building, he or she may not re-enter; if students need to go to their cars, a chaperone must accompany them.
- No alcohol, tobacco products, or any other illegal substances are allowed on the premises. All standards noted under "Behavior - Inappropriate" in the 2023-24 WLHS Handbook apply to this event.
