During the months of February and March, WLHS will celebrate Black History Month. Activities include lunchroom games, door decorating, Soul, Rhythm and Rhymes Night (February 21), and dress-up days on Fridays. The first dress-up day is on Friday, February 17 - Pan African Flag Day: wear red, green, yellow and black.

Friday, February 24 - Rep your HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities): wear your favorite HBCU gear (no sweats)
Friday, March 10 - Rep your Roots: Dashiki Day (no sweats)
Friday, March 17 - Sunday Best: Black church edition (think big hats and fancy suits) (no sweats)
Friday, March 24 - Family Reunion Day: dress like your friend group . . . think matching shirts
After a month of activities, a culminating Black History Program will be held at the high school on Tuesday, March 14, during morning assembly. More information about this event and links for livestream will be coming soon.
