Please note the following important details:
Students may be writing a major exam (or completing a major project) OR they may have a one hour class during that exam period. It is up to the discretion of the individual teacher. The teacher will inform his/her respective class well in advance if there will be an exam or just a regular class on their scheduled exam day.
Exam rules and regulations will be in effect on these days. This means that if students do not have a class during a specific period, they must either leave the campus for that period or remain in the library or commons area, which will be supervised.
These exam days are considered school days. Your child’s attendance is required for each period s(he) has a class. If your child misses a period, s(he) must have a parental excuse explaining the absence. If a student provides no excuses for any absences on these days, s(he) will be marked truant for each period missed.
It is essential that students have transportation home immediately after the final exam. All students must be out of the building by 12:40 p.m. Lunch is not served on exam days, but breakfast will be available.
