WLHS midterm on is Thursday, March 13, which is a time to check in on your child's Academic and Career Planning (ACP) journey. ACP is a student-driven process where students take ownership of their future by setting goals, exploring careers, and making informed academic choices—with the support of parents, teachers, and school staff. Click here for more details about student learning, exploration, and planning.
The 9th and 10th grade ACP is focused on discovering how God has uniquely created you—your personality, interests, and abilities—while exploring the many vocations the world offers. By understanding your gifts and passions, you can begin to see where you might one day honorfully serve the Lord in a way that fulfills your calling.
Key Highlights & Reminders:
Using Xello: Students should continue exploring Xello, our online ACP tool, to research careers, complete assessments, and build their personalized academic and career plan. Parents can ask students to share their progress in Xello to encourage discussion about their future goals. Parents who have not yet set up their family account recently received an email invitation to complete the setup.
Academic Progress: Stay engaged in coursework and seek support if needed. Your efforts now lay the foundation for future opportunities. Our blueprint for readiness is a valuable tool for families to see where their student’s progress is as they plan for goals after high school.
ACP is an ongoing process, and we’re here to support you along the way. Please reach out to your school counselor if you need assistance with Academic and Career Planning.
