Boys Basketball Stops Lions

The Wisco boys basketball team continued its hot start to the season with an 82-64 win at New Berlin Eisenhower on Tuesday night. 

After a back-and-forth start, the Vikings used a 20-5 run to turn a four-point lead into a 19-point advantage. The defense held the Lions to just two field goals over the final 7:30 of the first half. The second half saw Wisco stretch the lead to 28 points before settling at 18 for the final margin.

Jonah Rindfleisch put up a double-double to lead the Vikings with 19 points and 11 rebounds; he also blocked three shots and had three assists. Jordan Glenn had a fine all-around game with 17 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Kon Knueppel added 13 points off the bench, Landon Key scored 10 of his 12 points in the first half, Isaiah Hopf tallied eight points and eight boards, and PJ Young handed out a team-high eight assists despite battling foul trouble.

Led by Rindfleisch, the Vikings flexed their muscles inside, dominating the boards to the tune of a 51-30 rebound advantage. The held the Lions to under 40% shooting on the night and forced 15 turnovers. More stats are available here.
