Future Business Leaders of America 2024 State Competition

In only its second year of competition, the WLHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) sent 13 qualified students to State competition in Green Bay, Wis. on April 8-9. Students had opportunities to grow through workshops, networking sessions, and college exploration. They also competed in a variety of events, from coding and computer programming, to marketing, accounting, investments, and more. Top performers qualify for the National Conference in Orlando.

Congratulations to the following students who are now national qualifiers:
Mason Ware ('26) (Intro to Marketing) and Frank Quan-Pham ('24) (Journalism) took 1st place, and Jacob Belott ('24) (Supply Chain Management) took 3rd place. In addition, Ana Sofija Veljkovic ('24) (Accounting 1) and Camden Theesfeld ('25) (Advertising) took 5th place and are alternates for Orlando.

Finally, congratulations to Adalin Bogenschneider ('25), who was elected by the student delegates to be the State Reporter for the 2024-25 school year. She created a campaign board, wrote a brief platform regarding what she plans to accomplish in this position, and answered questions from FBLA members. We are excited to have a WLHS student serving on the FBLA executive board after only two years of joining this organization!
